Picture of the Week - 5/7/2020

Day 56

All is well.  Nothing is new.  I have nothing to share...

We are all still home.  We are all still healthy.  We are still working and doing school stuff.

Next week marks the last "real" week of school, although their last day isn't officially until May 22.  Zane and Beck are wrapping up a few last assignments and such, but next week there will be no more new material and they aren't going to fail, so I'm not really sweating their work after today.  It's not worth the battle.  Quinn has one more class where he needs to focus and take the last test, but otherwise he's done too.  Spencer has a bit more work to do in a few classes, but those will all wrap up with his virtual AP US History test next Friday.  Virtual testing makes me twitch a bit...  but it is what it is.

ADP had a strong quarter, despite all that's happening.  They are being prudent and have stopped most hiring and are mostly just watching to see how things go.  Bob and I feel relatively safe, but the longer the economy suffers, the more that worry in the back of the head grows.  For now all is well.

We are anxiously watching Florida to see if they are going to open up the rental home market again so we can plan our annual beach trip.  Not gonna lie, I will be very sad if we have to cancel it.

On the bright side, I did go ahead and schedule some summer camp activities for Zane and Beckett - mostly for July - but it will give them and us something to look forward to!  (fingers crossed)

Here's a picture of Bob and Zane from this morning.  They both needed new tennis shoes.  Apparently being in social distancing lock-down doesn't prevent kids from going through growth spurts...  go figure.  Check out Bob's hair!  He finally let me cut it for him this morning.  As for my hair...  I haven't had an appointment since late January.  I finally booked one today, but it's still 3 weeks away - and is scheduled for 7 AM.  Oy!  Things are soooo weird right now.

That's it...  just taking things one day at a time and remembering to be grateful for everything that's good right now and patient with the things we aren't loving.  I hope you are all well!

Happy early Mother's Day!
